For millennia, human beings have sought to make sense of the world in which we live, from the exploration of the stars and galaxies in astronomy to the occult and esoteric practices such as divination, and the experiments and studies that date back to early 16th-century science.

Every framework offers a map and a particular way of understanding oneself, reality, and the relationship between them. No single system, however, has the absolute answer. All share a common thread — that there are underlying principles that explain and shed light on patterns of movement and change.

But, there is a tendency for human beings to develop reality constructs along the lines of social and family conditioning that limit experience, becoming entrenched habits of thinking and responding that lead to isolation and separation. Rules become dogma to the exclusion of other ways of understanding and knowing.

The Five Elements of Nature — Earth, Water, Air, Fire, and Space—exist as the basis of matter. They are also archetypal, revealing recognizable patterns of energy and movement in ourselves and others. We can thus look to Nature and draw upon its macrocosmic reflection for insight into our inner and outer lives.

By drawing upon our knowledge of natural science, coupled with figurative language, we can develop an understanding of the symbolism of each element. In turn, we can develop a new language, one that defines the underlying principles and energy patterns they represent as balancing forces for learning, growth, and change.

Step by step, we can cultivate a practice that opens the doorways to peace, harmony, fulfillment, and joy.

  • The length of the course is approximately 7 hours, but as it is self-paced, you can spend less or more time as needed.

    We recommend that you pace yourself as each module includes one or more guided meditation practices as well as reflection questions.

    Consider giving yourself the opportunity to practice with a break in between each module and lesson. This will help support the learning and integration process.

    For example, consider a 90 minute time slot in your weekly schedule for each module.
